  The water tank under construction

Rolling the boiler barrel from 10 gauge copper

My little rollers were really pushed to manage this even with a couple of annealings on the way.

neverttheless the barrel was successfully finished and the front tube plate is tried for size.
Fire box crown stays are in place
Inside the firebox ... no outer wrapper at this stage The studs in the throat plate secure the torsion bar bracket for the steering
Aligning the barrel and firebox prior to soldering at the throat plate
The boiler is nearly finished here. The inside of the side stays are fluxed ready for soldering.

The boiler is now completed and pressure tested for a safe maximum working pressure of 120 psi.

The next tasks are to make and fit to the boiler the fire door, ashpan/grate and hornplates. The boiler can then be mounted into the chassis ..... but only temporarily as fitting of the the various parts to the hornplates will require them to come off to be jig drilled.
